An exciting opportunity has arisen to join East Midlands Railway Engineering Team as a Facilities Team Member at Etches Park Depot, Derby. The Facilities Team Member will ensure that day to day maintenance of the Health; Welfare and Environmental facilities are maintained as well as undertaking an effective cleaning regime for the depot.
About the role
The Facilities Team Member will:
1. Carry out day to day urgent maintenance of the depot Health, Welfare and Environmental facilities
2. Maintain roof drainage, blocked drains, general odd job maintenance
3. Depot escort for local authorities/contractors/visitors
4. Drive depot forklift truck; tow truck and depot road vehicles
5. Monitor contractor safety compliance
6. Police loose lifting tackle
7. Day to Day maintenance of the site effluent discharges to ensure compliance with local authorities
8. Environmental pollution control monitor for the management team
9. Ensure the site heavy cleaning is carried out as per the requirements of the site housekeeping regime
10. Ensure that waste is disposed of in a safe and environmentally friendly manner
About you
We are looking for someone who has excellent skills in general site repairs and is trained in the use of heavy housekeeping maintenance equipment. It would be beneficial to have knowledge of waste management procedures and ISO 9001 and Safety Regulations. It would also be desirable if you were certified in Personal Track Safety and competent in Depot Protection System but training can be offered if required.
