We are currently seeking a Business Advisory Group (BAG) Manager to support our growth.
THE ROLE
The manager will help new clients join AAB, provide services to existing clients across various industries, and oversee a portfolio involving statutory accounts, management accounts, and advisory projects. You will work in a collaborative, enthusiastic, and diverse environment, building tailored solutions for clients and identifying new opportunities.
This client-facing role suits a team player with experience working with owner-managed businesses, capable of developing strong relationships with clients and decision-makers.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Oversee and support client portfolios, ensuring deadlines and demands are met.
2. Strengthen client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services.
3. Manage the delivery of client work from start to finish, ensuring quality and budget adherence.
4. Perform technical accounting work, oversee finalization of accounts, and respond to client queries promptly.
5. Deliver tailored advisory and project work to meet client needs.
6. Maintain technical knowledge, research legislation, and advise clients accordingly.
7. Liaise with external advisors as needed.
8. Coach team members and develop their technical skills.
9. Participate in management activities, ensuring targets and deadlines are met, and support strategic objectives.
10. Demonstrate knowledge of GAAP and Accounting Standards, especially FRS 102 1A.
Requirements:
* Professional qualification (ICAS/ICAEW/ACCA or equivalent).
* Experience in a similar role with client portfolio management.
* Strong interpersonal skills and client engagement experience.
* Growth mindset and commitment to learning.
* Knowledge of accounting systems like Xero.
* Experience supervising staff and technical compliance work.
* Proficiency with technology and cloud accounting solutions.
