This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with a strong EHS background who thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment.\n\n Environmental, Health and Safety (EHS) Specialist \n3-6 month contract position, Inside IR35\nMonday to Thursday, 8:00am – 4:30pm, Friday, 8:00am – 3:30pm\nVery Competitive Rate \nCoventry\n\n EHS Specialist\n\n Job Description\n\nSupport and develop the Health, Safety and Environmental (HSE) Management System, maintaining ISO14001 and ISO45001 accreditations.\nEnsure compliance with all relevant legislation, regulations, and internal corporate requirements.\nLead the development and maintenance of HSE manuals, safe systems of work, procedures, and documentation.\nProvide advice, training, and support to staff and management on HSE matters.\nConduct and support incident, near miss, and accident investigations with follow-up actions and reports.\nDeliver effective HSE inductions, risk assessments, and legal compliance checks.\nCo-ordinate and implement corrective actions following audits and inspections.\nMonitor environmental impact and drive energy reduction initiatives aligned with ISO14001 goals.\nRepresent the company in liaison with external bodies\nSupport Facilities Management to ensure full legal compliance.\nProvide monthly HSE metrics and insights to senior stakeholders across the business. \n\n EHS Specialist\n\n Essential Experience / Skills / Qualifications\n\nPrevious experience in a health, safety and environmental role within a manufacturing or engineering setting.\nNEBOSH Certificate or equivalent in Occupational Health and Safety.\nStrong knowledge of ISO14001 and ISO45001.\nProven experience conducting audits, assessments, and delivering HSE training.\nStrong communication and stakeholder engagement skills across all levels of a business.\nAble to work autonomously and collaboratively across cross-functional teams.\nCommercially aware with a practical, hands-on approach to HSE
