Working Pattern
2 week rolling rota: Week 1 – Tuesday, Thursday, Sunday 18:00‑23:00 and Wednesday 10:00‑18:00 (22.5 hours). Week 2 – Monday, Tuesday, Saturday 18:00‑23:00 and Wednesday, Sunday 10:00‑18:00 (30 hours).
Contract & Salary
Permanent. Pro‑rata salary £17,813.25 per year (£13.05 per hour), full‑time equivalent £25,447.50.
Key Responsibilities
* Assess, monitor and support individuals on a one‑to‑one basis and via group work.
* Deliver emotional support face‑to‑face, online or by telephone, using active listening, de‑escalation and distraction techniques to prevent emergency department admission.
* Work in partnership with a variety of teams and wider organisations to enable service users to reach their goals.
* Cover early (10:00‑18:00) or late (18:00‑23:00) shifts, including weekends and all bank holidays, as the service runs 365 days a year.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
* Experience of supporting people in mental health crisis.
* Capacity to work effectively with people experiencing distress.
* Empathy, resilience and the ability to build rapport with service users.
* Proactive approach to partnership working and goal setting.
