This flexible, hands-on role involves working across a varied fleet including HGVs, light vans, beavertails, water jetting machines, and specialist installation plant. The position is ideal for a practical, adaptable mechanic with strong servicing and inspection experience, who is also comfortable supporting yard operations alongside workshop duties.Day-to-day of the role:Carry out servicing, maintenance, and repairs on various vehicles including HGVs, light vans, beavertails, and specialist installation plant.Undertake 6-weekly inspections in line with company and legal requirements.Diagnose mechanical faults and complete repairs efficiently and safely.Use and maintain workshop tools and equipment.Support yard duties, including loading and unloading vehicles, forklift operation, and general yard organisation and safety.Ensure accurate completion of inspection and service records.Maintain high standards of housekeeping, health & safety, and compliance.Required Skills & Qualifications:Proven mechanic experience, particularly with HGVs.Minimum Level 2 or Level 3 qualification in Vehicle Maintenance / Mechanics (or equivalent).Experience servicing and maintaining multiple vehicle types.Comfortable working on both light vans and heavy commercial vehicles.Flexible approach to workload and duties.Set of tools to be equipped for the role.Desirable:HGV licence.Forklift driving experience (or willingness to be trained).Experience with specialist plant or installation equipment (not essential).Benefits:Competitive salary dependent on experience.Stable, full-time position with daytime working hours.Opportunity to work with a varied and interesting fleet.Supportive workshop and operations team.To apply for the role, please click 'APPLY'
