Overview
We are looking for an enthusiastic Specialist Grade Doctor in Community Child Health, with full GMC registration with Licence to Practise and broad training and experience in Community Paediatrics at level of Specialty Doctor or equivalent Grade. Applicants should have the ability to demonstrate a flexible approach and attitude to the delivery of services.
Evidence of experience and qualities in the following areas is essential:-
* Commitment to team approach and multi-disciplinary working.
* Evidence of participation in clinical audit and understanding role of audit in improving medical practice
* Understanding of clinical risk management and clinical governance
* Ability to apply research outcomes to clinical practice
* Experience in departmental teaching
Main duties
The Community Paediatric Service in Lincolnshire is part of a combined Children's Service provided by United Lincolnshire Hospitals NHS Trust. The Trust is responsible for the provision of a comprehensive range of services to the local population of 680,000.
The Community Paediatric Service is part of the family health division and provides a secondary care consultant led service delivered by experienced doctors trained in paediatrics and child health with specialist skills in:-

* Neurodevelopmental problems- Autism/ADHD
* Neurodisability

* Adoption work

Qualifications / Clinical Skills
Essential
* Full GMC registration with Licence to Practice
* Meets the criteria set out in the Specialist Grade generic capabilities framework document.
* MRCP/MRCPCH or equivalent qualification
* Evidence of annual appraisal and participation In revalidation process.
Desirable
* Postgrad Diploma in Paediatric Neurodisability
* D.C.H. or equivalent
* Evidence of Level 3 training and experience in Safeguarding Children
* Full UK driving licence
Experience
Essential
* Completed a minimum of 12 years' medical work (either continuous or in aggregate) since qualification of which minimum of at least six years should have been in relevant speciality of Community Paediatrics at level of Specialty Doctor or equivalent Grade.
Desirable
* Experience in safeguarding medicals
