GSL Education are seeking a committed Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a welcoming school in Wareham. This is a fantastic opportunity for individuals with experience in education, care, SEN support, or for those looking to begin a rewarding role within a primary or secondary school environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide classroom support to teachers and pupils across a range of year groups.
* Assist with one-to-one, small-group, and whole-class learning activities.
* Support pupils with varying abilities, including those with additional needs.
* Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and safe learning environment.
* Contribute to behaviour management, engagement strategies, and resource preparation.
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff and wider school teams.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have:
* Experience as a Teaching Assistant, or transferable skills from care, youth work, or support roles.
* A patient, proactive, and nurturing approach.
* Good communication and teamwork skills.
* Adaptability when supporting pupils with different learning needs.
* A genuine desire to support children’s development and well-being.
* Enhanced DBS registered on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
