Job Title: Pastoral Teaching Assistant (Entry Level)
Location: Newcastle
Salary: £83–£95 per day
Contract: Full-time, Long-Term
Join our school community and help our pupils grow with confidence.
We’re looking for a kind, patient, and encouraging Pastoral Teaching Assistant to join our team here in Newcastle. Our school is a place where children are supported to become independent learners, valued for who they are, and encouraged to be part of both our school and wider community.
We work together every day to help our children:
* Communicate and interact confidently with others and the world around them
* Value themselves, their achievements, and show kindness and tolerance to others
* Lead safe, happy, and fulfilling lives
As part of our team, you will:
* Build positive relationships with our pupils, helping them engage with school life
* Support children with Autism and communication needs in developing social and emotional skills
* Work alongside families, teachers, and therapists, ensuring that every child’s needs are understood and supported
* Help our pupils connect with their peers, their school community, and the wider world
* Celebrate achievements, however big or small
We’re looking for someone who shares our belief that every child deserves to feel valued, supported, and part of something bigger. Someone who brings kindness to every conversation, patience to every challenge, and a steady hand when things get tricky. Experience is helpful, but what really matters to us is who you are—your ability to connect with children, build trust, and help them grow in confidence day by day. If you’re the kind of person who celebrates the small wins, never gives up on a child, and understands that progress looks different for everyone, you’ll fit right in here.
If you already have Thrive training, that’s great. If not, we’ll help you access it—supporting children’s emotional wellbeing is central to the way we work.
