As the department’s Lead Administrator and Personal Assistant to the Dean of Mission, Ministry, and Education, you’ll provide high‑level administrative support while bringing structure, coordination, and guidance to the work that equips and supports ministry across the diocese.
Working hours: This is a full-time role (35 hours per week) with the opportunity for hybrid working and flexible working
Salary: £34,500 to £36,500 per annum, subject to qualifications and experience

ROLE DUTIES
* To provide administrative management and oversight in the Mission & Ministry Department, creating and enabling opportunities for greater collaboration with other teams i.e. Education and PMO.
* To line manage the Vocations & Discipleship Administrator and CMD & MDR Administrator ensuring they have effective reporting relationships within their particular teams enabling them to support identified work streams and create a collaborative administrative team environment providing support and encouragement.
* To ensure effective diary management and scheduling for the Dean of Mission, Ministry and Education and handling the administration for events and projects arranged by the Dean, providing hands on support when required. This may occasionally require work outside of office hours, including evenings and weekends.
* To understand and support the work of the Dean of Mission, Ministry & Education in order to answer enquiries and deal with matters that arise in their absence and to provide and lead an effective administrative team.
CRITERIA
* Educated to A-level or equivalent standard, with good GCSE equivalent results in Maths and English.
* Proven experience of providing professional administration support to a team.
* Proven experience of leading process and system changes.
* Proven experience of line management.
