Overview
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Test Development Engineer, specialising in circuit card electronic test, to join our Test Development team. It is an exciting time as we begin work on a host of challenging, but rewarding projects, from concept design through to series production and full in-service support! Working in an established team as a Test Development Engineer you'll be creating and maintaining small to medium-sized automated test systems. You'll be responsible for the development and implementation of test strategies and, where appropriate, influencing our product through 'Design for Test'. This involves creating test strategy documents, designing Interchangeable Test Adaptors (including both mechanical and electrical elements) and software development of automated test sequences in accordance with a test specification. You'll also have the opportunity to get involved with continuous improvement activities and the development of new technologies.
Responsibilities
* Design and implement test strategies for circuit card electronic test, including automation of test sequences and the development of Interchangeable Test Adaptors (mechanical and electrical).
* Develop and maintain automated test systems from concept through to production and in-service support.
* Contribute to Design for Test (DfT) initiatives and create test strategy documents.
* Software development of automated test sequences in accordance with a test specification.
* Engage in continuous improvement activities and development of new technologies.
Qualifications
* Sound understanding of fundamental analogue and digital circuit design.
* Experience of creating and using technical documentation and drawings such as Schematics, PCB layouts, and Engineering Drawings.
* Significant experience creating Automated Test Equipment.
* Experience in using NI LabVIEW and/or TestStand (preferable).
* Experience in Boundary Scan / XJTAG (preferable).
* Strong problem-solving skills with an exceptional eye for detail.
* Strong analytical skills and passion for driving continuous improvement; six sigma experience desirable.

Salary and Working Arrangements
Salary: Circa £43,000 depending on experience
Dynamic (hybrid) working: 3-4 days per week on-site due to workload classification
Security and Eligibility
Security Clearance: British Citizen or a Dual UK national with British citizenship. Restrictions and/or limitations relating to nationality and/or rights to work may apply. As a minimum and after offer stage, all successful candidates will need to undergo HMG Basic Personnel Security Standard checks (BPSS), which are managed by the MBDA Personnel Security Team.
