As a Lecturer in Criminology, you will: Deliver engaging, inclusive and high-quality teaching to Level 3 learners studying Criminology, Psychology and Law. Inspire students by bringing criminological theory and real-world practice to life. Act as a Personal Tutor, supporting learners' academic progress and wellbeing. Create and adapt innovative learning materials aligned to awarding-body requirements. Provide constructive feedback that motivates students and helps them achieve their goals. Contribute to curriculum development, course planning and quality improvement. Support learners to engage in meaningful work placements and enrichment activities. Participate in key College events such as open evenings, parent evenings and school liaison activities. About You We're looking for someone who is: Qualified to degree level (or higher) in Criminology or a related subject. Experienced in teaching or working within the criminal justice system. Skilled at communicating with diverse groups of learners. Creative, adaptable and passionate about developing young people. Digitally confident, with experience using VLEs and Microsoft Office. Knowledgeable about current issues in criminology and education. Committed to safeguarding, inclusivity and delivering high-quality learning. A teaching qualification (Level 5 or higher) is desirable, but we welcome applicants willing to work towards it.
