About the Role
Our client is seeking a skilled CNC Miller Programmer to join their expanding precision engineering team. The role involves programming, setting, and operating CNC milling machines to produce high‑accuracy components for a variety of sectors. Key Responsibilities
1. Program, set, and operate CNC milling machines using Fanuc controls
2. Create, edit, and optimise CNC programs to meet production requirements
3. Select suitable tooling, fixtures, and cutting parameters
4. Carry out first‑off inspections and ensure all work meets tight tolerances
5. Diagnose machining issues and implement process improvements
6. Work collaboratively with engineering, quality, and production teams
7. Maintain a safe, organised, and compliant work environment
Requirements
8. Proven experience as a CNC Miller with strong programming ability
9. Excellent understanding of machining principles, materials, and tooling
10. Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings
11. Competence in using precision measuring equipment
12. High attention to detail with strong problem‑solving skills
13. Ability to work independently and meet production targets
Desirable Skills
14. Experience with 4‑axis or 5‑axis CNC milling
15. Knowledge of CAD/CAM software
16. Background in low‑volume, high‑precision manufacturing
17. Familiarity with continuous improvement practices
