Job Description: We are looking for a Landing Gear System Engineer to join our team in Filton.
The Role: As an engineer, you will be responsible for monitoring in-service occurrences of one or more aircraft programs. You will collaborate with various Airbus safety stakeholders, including the airworthiness department, design office, support, and program teams, in activities such as:
* Reviewing and identifying the severity of in-service events in the fleet,
* Conducting root cause analysis and incident monitoring,
* Managing any unsafe conditions related to landing gear systems in the fleet,
* Presenting results during reviews to authorities and Airbus internal managers,
* Analyzing and monitoring the implementation of corrective actions,
* Ensuring progress of activities and compliance with delivery milestones, and communicating progress to the project manager.
Experience required:
* University degree in Engineering,
* At least 10 years of experience in aeronautical engineering, ideally in safety and certification engineering,
* Knowledge of safety processes, regulations, and guidelines (ARP 5150, Part-21A.3, Part-M, CS 25.1309),
* Good understanding of aircraft systems, especially landing gear and hydraulic systems,
* Experience specifically in the landing gear domain,
* Proven track record of leading complex projects with multiple stakeholders, delivering on time, within budget, and to quality standards,
* Awareness of compliance risks and a commitment to integrity.
