Role Overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly committed and enthusiastic individual to help organise, plan and deliver sporting and physical activity sessions for students within our enrichment programme. The role also involves administrative tasks related to sport teams and sport enrichment. Successful applicants will have experience of sports coaching and/or physical activity delivery and experience working with young people. Strong organisational and communication skills are essential, as is the ability to work independently as well as in a team. This post may require work from both the University Road Campus and the Regent Road Campus.
Location and Facilities
The curriculum area is located across two campuses in large, open‑plan offices and uses nearby classrooms. We have a good range of resources including excellent online materials, interactive whiteboards, smart TVs, library holdings and IT facilities. In addition to examination courses, staff offer enrichment courses such as Competitive Sport Teams, Recreational Physical Activity and Leadership & Volunteering.
Curriculum Context
This year there have been over 900 enrolments onto our courses. Approximately 120 students are studying academic sport courses at levels 2-3, including AQA A Level PE and OCR Cambridge Technicals. Our representative teams have enjoyed success at County, Regional and National Level. Facilities include two sports halls, changing rooms, two fitness suites, extensive outdoor pitches and a large sports pavilion.
Responsibilities
* Plan and deliver sporting and physical activity sessions for students within the enrichment programme.
* Coordinate and manage sport team activities and administrative tasks related to sport enrichment.
* Work with students to develop transferable employability skills and incorporate work experience where appropriate.
* Collaborate with other curriculum areas (e.g., Extended Project Qualification) to integrate sport into broader learning outcomes.
* Maintain and improve facilities and resources for sport delivery.
Qualifications and Experience
Applicants should possess:
* Experience of sports coaching and/or physical activity delivery.
* Experience working with young people.
* Strong organisational and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Commitment to supporting students’ academic and wider achievements.
Salary and Benefits
This is a permanent full-time term‑time post commencing August 2026, with a competitive salary on the SFCA support pay spine. The salary band is 7 – 10, ranging from £25 951 to £27 733 per annum (pro rata). The actual starting salary is £22 525, negotiable based on experience.

Working Hours
