Responsibilities
of the Architectural Technician:
1. Prepare and coordinate design and working drawing packages (Primarily using AutoCAD)
2. Submit and manage Building Regulations and other statutory applications
3. Liaise with planning, commercial, construction and sales departments to ensure alignment across all project stages
4. Coordinate and review the work of external consultants (engineering, architectural, etc.)
5. Ensure compliance with NHBC, Building Regulations and company design standards
6. Support in resolving site-specific technical issues as they arise
7. Attend project meetings and contribute to design and delivery strategy
8. Assist in site feasibility and development appraisals during land acquisition
Key Skills & Experience Required:
9. Background in residential architecture or housebuilding, with experience in a similar role
10. Proven ability to manage multiple live sites from planning through to completion
11. Excellent understanding of UK Building Regulations, NHBC standards, and design coordination
12. Skilled in producing and reviewing working drawings and technical details
