Domestic Cleaner - Swalwell
Lifeways are currently looking to recruit a domestic cleaner for one of our residential services in Swalwell Gateshead
8am-4pm 5 days a week rolling rota including weekends.
We have an opportunity for a Domestic/Cleaner ensuring that we provide a clean environment for our service users and staff, providing a high quality service and high standards of cleanliness, ensuring compliance with infection control procedures.
This is a key role and it is vital that those who apply, understand that they will work closely with those living and working in the service and will be required to put the needs of those who live here first.
Responsibilities
* Carry out all cleaning duties as directed by the Registered Manager or Senior Support Workers to the required Company standards. Cleaning duties can be in any area of the service.
* Ensure that daily and deep cleaning schedules are adhered to.
* Maintain a high standard of personal presentation and hygiene.
* Ensure that all cleaning equipment is correctly and safely used and kept in a safe condition. Report any defect to the Registered Manager and/or Senior Support Staff.
* Carry out any other reasonable instructions of the Management staff.
* To be sensitive to the privacy and individual needs of the residents.
* To comply with COSHH regulations and Health & Safety Regulations
* To adhere to infection control polices at all times.
* To follow the correct use of colour code systems within the home
* Carry out other ad hoc duties as requested by the Management team.
* To ensure all necessary documentation is completed daily.
* To ensure cleaning cupboards are left clean and tidy.
