Job Purpose This role plays a key part in shaping the talent pipeline for the business. As a member of the Talent Team, you’ll lead the full recruitment journey — from the initial hiring request right through to welcoming new starters on their first day. You’ll focus on proactively attracting high quality talent, using creative sourcing methods and innovative social media strategies to showcase our opportunities. A central part of the role is partnering with hiring managers to understand their needs and provide expert support throughout the resourcing process. Key Duties and Responsibilities Take ownership of vacancies from initial request through to placement and the candidate’s first day. Seek to address diversity and unconscious bias within recruitment to ensure we continue to create a desirable culture of opportunity for all. Liaise with hiring managers to scope out recruitment needs and provide guidance on the best solutions and recruitment processes. Take a proactive approach to resourcing and attracting talent to meet the business resourcing needs. Attend interviews with hiring managers providing guidance and support including specific recruitment legislation. Utilise a diverse range of resourcing platforms including social media to source talent, creating engaging content to capture passive candidates. Raise the profile of the Talent Acquisition team internally and externally and support brand awareness by attending events, networking and considering alternative ways to engage with our audience. Provide advice and support to hiring managers on best practice regarding interviewing, recruitment methods, on boarding regulatory processes and advertising platforms. Support the delivery of recruitment and selection training for hiring managers. Keep up to date with regulatory changes and current trends in recruitment, selection and on boarding. Daily management of the PSL, liaising regularly with agencies, building relationships and managing performance. Work with third party assessment/shortlisting providers to enhance recruitment processes, deliver outcomes to candidates and report key MI to the business Analysis of our candidate attraction and recruitment methods ensuring our processes remain relevant and are targeting a wide diverse pool of candidates. Lead any collation of salary and benefits benchmarking data. Support the Talent Acquisition Manager with any projects, reports and MI required. Experience & Knowledge Demonstrable experience delivering an end to end recruitment process, dealing with high volume in a fast paced environment Experience in proactively sourcing candidates utilising a diverse range of recruitment methods, specifically social media. Experience advising and guiding senior stakeholders on recruitment best practise, regulation and employment law A sound knowledge of recruitment and selection best practice and on boarding regulation such as Right to work and DBS checks The ability to build relationships with key stakeholders internally and externally Ability to work as part of a team and independently Excellent attention to detail and organisation skills Proficient in the use of MS Office Ability to use own initiative Excellent communication skill Here at Carpenters group diversity and inclusion matters, it is integral to our culture and we welcome applications from everyone.
