Responsibilities
* Design, deploy, and maintain functional LAN, WLAN, WAN & server infrastructure environments
* Configure and install network devices, servers, routers and supporting technologies
* Monitor network integrity, performance and security across multiple UK sites and assist colleagues across different geographies when required
* Troubleshoot complex issues escalated by the team and independently resolve them
* Implement and automate network tasks to improve efficiency
* Mentor and guide team members on technical topics
* Develop, test and oversee security solutions—including authentication and disaster recovery
* Maintain full documentation of all systems, configurations and processes
* Identify areas for optimisation relating to capacity, scalability and performance
* Maintain strong level of technical security for UK network & server infrastructures, participate in vulnerability assessments, remediations, security audits, prepare and provide evidence if required
* Maintain high levels of governance and compliance with both internal and external controls, i.e Cyber Essentials Plus and ISO27001
Qualifications
* Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related field
* Professional certifications such as CCNA, CCNP (Security, Firewall specialisms highly valued)
