Main Function (Health & Safety Advisor)
To provide regional support to the Divisional SHE Director in implementing and supervising the Company’s Safety, Health, and Environmental policies, ensuring a safe and healthy environment for all employees and workers engaged on company business.
Key Functional Areas (Health & Safety Advisor)
* Monitor, develop, and implement SHE systems to ensure high standards, performance, and compliance.
* Support and advise the Region; represent Regional Management in safety, health, & environmental discussions with employees and external organizations.
* Develop SHE management capabilities within the Region by enhancing Miller personnel's skills and knowledge.
* Promote a positive SHE culture through effective SHE processes and procedures.
* Identify opportunities for SHE management improvement and best practices.
Main Duties (Health & Safety Advisor)
* Conduct site visits and audits to ensure compliance with procedures and standards.
* Provide SHE advice during tender and construction phases.
* Investigate and report all RIDDOR reportable accidents and incidents.
* Notify relevant statutory bodies about notifiable accidents and incidents.
* Attend quarterly performance review meetings; produce bimonthly regional reports.
* Contribute to and report on regional SHE training; conduct SHE training when applicable.
Key Capabilities Required (Health & Safety Advisor)
Skills and Capabilities
* Proficiency in IT and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
* Excellent organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize and delegate effectively.
* Conflict resolution skills.
* Proven training skills.

* Ability to interpret SHE legislation and communicate it clearly to all relevant parties.
* Excellent interpersonal and communication skills; ability to relate to all organizational levels.

Knowledge, Experience, and Qualifications
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in a SHE role.
* Detailed knowledge of SHE legislation.
* NEBOSH certification or willingness to pursue it.
* Membership of IOSH.
* Valid driving license.
* Experience with audits, accident investigations, and liaising with statutory bodies.
