The purpose of this position is to drive new business into Motion Finance in order to maintain high business levels.
Based out in the field they are expected to build relationships with motor dealers in their designated area. The role is also heavily based around maintaining those relationships via telephone/email contact and regular face to face visits.
Main duties/ responsibilities:
• Canvasing new dealerships and building working relationships with them
• Visiting existing dealerships and maintaining key relationships
• Supporting dealerships with growing and developing their businesses
• Helping dealerships with their finance applications and supporting them and their customers through the application process
• Call plans are imperative for effective planning and performance management. These need to be logged and sent to their line manager and Sales Director on a regular basis
• Keeping up to date with the marketplace and understanding what’s happening with competition movements
• Establishing the position that Motion Finance will hold within their dealers to be able to negotiate and work on improving this where possible
• Carry out and follow up regulatory audits with their dealers on a quarterly basis, outlining areas for improvement and reporting this back to the Sales Director and line manager
• Maintain SAF Accreditation
• Ensuring complete confidence in the online proposal system in order to ensure high levels of proposal maintenance and usage of the quotation facility
• Negotiation on pricing packages with their dealers with support/guidance from the Sales Director
• Working closely with the office staff to process and convert applications for dealerships and customers
• Working on individual incentives with each dealer considering their nominal value and what they’re looking for from the broker service
• 1-2-1 with line manager on a regular basis to discuss performance, the performance of their designated territory, what’s going well and ways to move forward
• Flexible approach to working schedule
• Attending quarterly sales meetings at an agreed venue with all other Account Managers to discuss changes, updates, regulatory changes or anything else the Company feels appropriate, to ensure all have the most up to date knowledge and all working the same way
• Working towards and achieving any targets and incentives set out by their line manager on a monthly basis
