Job Title: Arrears Management Specialist
About the Role
We are seeking a skilled Debt Collection Administrator to join our Income Team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the prevention and recovery of rent arrears and other debts.
Main Responsibilities
* Recover rent arrears and service charges from assigned accounts.
* Respond to resident correspondence regarding account management.
* Offer money management advice to assist residents in prioritizing rent and service charge payments and reducing arrears.
* Ensure residents receive appropriate advice and guidance on benefits and welfare entitlements to maximize their potential income, making referrals where necessary.
* Represent the organization at court, presenting cases professionally.
* Refer cases to relevant teams or external agencies when more in-depth advice is required.
Requirements
* Experience in rent arrears recovery or debt collection is preferable.
* Strong customer service skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills.
