Mechanical Supervisor
The Role
We are looking for a Mechanical Supervisor to support the delivery of mechanical projects across Suffolk. Acting as the company's on-site representative, you will oversee the installation and progress of all mechanical works. Previous experience working on MOD or Defence sites would be advantageous, but not essential.
Key Responsibilities
* Assist with the surveying and costing of new projects.
* Review all subcontractor RAMS and Method Statements, identifying and raising any concerns.
* Procure materials and equipment to ensure all work is completed within the agreed KPIs.
* Arrange hire of plant and access equipment as required (e.g., MEWPs, cherry pickers, scaffolding).
* Support with booking in parts and allocating them to the correct operatives.
* Carry out regular compliance checks on operatives, ensuring all certifications and IDs (e.g., Gas Safe, VIVO ID) are current.
* Ensure all Authorised Person (AP) requests are submitted promptly to prevent delays.
* Conduct return-to-work interviews for team members following sickness absence, when required.
* Provide operational performance data as requested and suggest improvements where possible.
