Join Our Team as a Service Administrator! We're delighted to offer an exciting opportunity for two Service Administrators to join our dynamic and expanding Leicestershire Residential Services team on a full‑time, permanent basis.
In this vital role, you'll provide high‑quality administrative and financial support across our residential homes—helping to ensure the smooth, effective operation of services that provide essential care to some of Leicestershire's most vulnerable children, young people, and families.
Base Location: Ivan House, Coalville
Hours: Monday–Friday, 9:00am–5:00pm
Flexible Working: We welcome applications for part‑time (18.125 hours per week) via a job‑share. If this is your preference, please indicate this clearly in your application.
Travel: Each post holder will oversee four residential homes and must be willing to travel across our homes in Coalville, Hinckley, Syston, Mountsorrel, Braunstone, and Market Harborough when required.
Key Responsibilities
1. Manage petty cash reconciliation for at least two homes, raise purchase orders, and process invoices.
2. Produce financial reports for a range of internal and external stakeholders.
3. Support recruitment administration, including processing DBS applications.
4. Assist with premises and vehicle security, ensuring systems are safe, compliant, and effective.
5. Coordinate diaries and arrange meetings across the service.
6. Maintain accurate filing systems and uphold GDPR compliance.
7. Support or oversee delegated health and safety and fire safety responsibilities.
About You
Your written application should clearly demonstrate the following skills and experience:
8. Strong Excel skills, including the ability to create and manage spreadsheets.
9. Solid office experience and confident use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and Power BI.
10. Strong numeracy and literacy skills, with the ability to carry out calculations and produce accurate reports.
11. Experience managing financial systems such as petty cash, monitoring budgets, or similar processes.
12. Familiarity with Health & Safety procedures and compliance documentation.
13. Experience in the management or supervision of staff.
