Business Development Manager – Bridging & Development Finance

Location: London & Surrounding Area; The Midlands

About the Company: A fast‑growing, service‑driven lender specialising in bridging, refurbishment and development finance, backed by significant capital and a broker‑first approach.


Role Overview

As a Business Development Manager (BDM), you will originate and manage high‑value lending opportunities through broker and introducer relationships in a front‑line, field‑based role where your ability to generate, nurture and convert opportunities directly drives your success.


Key Responsibilities

* Originate bridging, refurbishment and development loan opportunities
* Manage a personal pipeline from enquiry to completion
* Build, maintain and grow relationships with brokers, introducers and developers
* Identify and pursue new business through networking, referrals and outreach
* Represent the lender at broker meetings, networking events, trade shows and conferences
* Collaborate closely with internal teams to structure deals and ensure smooth progression
* Provide market insights and feedback to support product development and strategy


Compensation & Support

* Commission: 0.25% of each completion, uncapped
* OTE: Realistic six‑figure earnings once established
* Support: Direct access to decision‑makers, dedicated underwriting and case management
* Flexibility: Field‑based role with hybrid working; quarterly team meetings in London
* Progression: Opportunity to grow your region and panel within a rapidly expanding lender


Skills & Experience

* Proven track record in originating bridging and/or development finance deals
* Established broker and introducer network within London or the Midlands
* Minimum 3–5 years’ sales experience in financial services (specialist lending preferred)
* Strong relationship‑building, influencing and negotiation skills
* Entrepreneurial, proactive and results‑driven mindset
