Clinic Co-ordinator/Admin Support

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinic Co-ordinator/Admin Support within the Adult Mental Health Directorate. The successful candidate will be a high performing, experienced administrative worker with the ability to provide comprehensive Clinic Co-ordination and administrative support to the Medical and Nurse Led clinics. The post-holder will be based at the North East Community Mental Health Team (Pentwyn Health Centre).
Applicants will need to be highly organised, adaptable and able to work on their own initiative and prioritise their workload. The role includes a high level of communication with patients and their families and professionals from varying disciplines, so attention to detail and an excellent telephone manner is essential. Previous experience of working within a similar environment will be advantageous. Applicants must have an understanding of the current waiting list targets set by the Welsh Assembly Government and their responsibility in helping to achieve them.
This is an excellent opportunity for the successful candidate to develop themselves in a friendly, busy and challenging community mental health team.
Main duties of the job
To provide an efficient and effective reception and perform to a high standard the clerical duties associated with the co-ordination of outpatient clinics for members of the team. To oversee all aspects of the preparation and delivery of the clinic. To deal with people who have mental health problems with patience and understanding.
This post requires a person who is both reliable and efficient with proven organisational and communication skills. The post holder must ensure confidentiality and discretion in all work related areas at all times.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; Welsh and/or English speakers are equally welcome to apply.

Qualifications
* Educated to a good standard.
Experience
* Dealing with members of the public/working in healthcare environment. Working as part of a team. Previous office experience and demonstrable and clerical procedures.
* Previous experience of working in NHS environment in a multi agency team. Experience of dealing with people with mental health problems.
Skills
* Previous experience of working in NHS environment in a multi agency team. Experience of dealing with people with mental health problems.
Special Knowledge
* Knowledge of Paris database. Knowledge of Oracle database. Knowledge of medical terminology.
