IT Technical Support
Our client is looking for an experienced Technical Support Engineer to join their fast-growing team – They are looking for engineers who have a passion for technology, problem-solving and are eager to help customers.
Key Skills required
* For this role you will need MUST have experience of SQL, UNIX (Preferably Linux) and JavaScript - These are all essential for the role.
* In terms of the JavaScript experience you only need to be able to read and understand it – You do not need to be proficient in coding with JavaScript.
Additional job details
* Work on and resolve technical issues reported by internal and external customers.
* Maintain impeccable case hygiene and customer-related files and records.
* Customer Advocate providing support to users/administrators of our platform.
* Experience assessing, troubleshooting, resolving, and providing root cause analysis for Product issues related to upgrades, cloning, tables, reporting, performance analytics etc.
* Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate solutions to complex technical problems.
* A team player attitude to work efficiently in a collaborative environment.
Experience required
* 2/3 years + of commercial experience within a busy Technical Support service environment.
* Object-oriented programming languages like Java.
* Knowledge of the components in the web applications stack.
* An understanding of scripting languages: JavaScript, Python, Perl, Unix Shell, Windows Shell.
* Linux/Unix.
* RDBMS experience with either MySQL or Oracle.
