Are you an inspiring leader passionate about making a difference in the lives of autistic young people with complex needs? We’re looking for a Team Manager to guide our dedicated team of Autism Practitioners and ensure that best practices are followed, leading to the best possible outcomes for those we support.

Please note: Due to our location, a holder of a full UK driving licence is preferred for this role.

Salary: Up to £33,000 per annum (dependent on qualification and experience)

As a Team Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the daily operations of our residential homes, prioritising the health and wellbeing of the young people in your care. You will model best practices and lead your team in delivering personalised support, ensuring each young person can thrive in a nurturing environment.

With a focus on ongoing training and professional development, you will empower your team to provide exceptional outcomes, helping our young people lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.


Key responsibilities

1. Line manage, coach, and mentor a team of Autism Practitioners.
2. Support the recruitment and induction of new staff.
3. Manage staff attendance, including sickness and other absences.
4. Oversee staff performance through monthly check-ins, conduct reviews, performance improvement plans, and risk assessments.
5. Implement autism-friendly strategies to enhance learning and wellbeing for young people.
6. Assist in understanding and applying young people's "This Is Me" plans (our term for a young person's collective care plans).
7. Provide personal care aligned with each individual’s "This Is Me" plan.

Work Schedule: You will work early and late shifts across a seven-day week. Early shifts are from 7am to 4pm, and late shifts from 2pm to 10pm.


Minimum requirements

* Level 3 Health & Social Care or equivalent qualification.
* At least 2 years of experience as a support worker with autism and/or learning disability experience.
* Experience in line management, coaching, and mentoring of small teams is desirable.
