My client a leading engineering inovator, is currently seeking a Head of Electrical Operations to join their team. This exciting role offers an opportunity to take a pivotal position in overseeing the installation, commissioning, and testing of electrical systems ,focusing on zero-emission solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with a team of electrical engineers and technicians, providing mentorship and guidance related to electrical installations.
Work closely with product design, engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain teams to ensure seamless integration of electrical systems into the company's products.
Ensure the availability of correct resources for electrical projects, including contractors and employees.
Plan, schedule, and oversee multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget and scope while managing resources efficiently.
Collaborate with various teams in the definition and execution of the company's Kit of Parts.
Lead the integration of electric systems, including high-voltage and low-voltage power circuits, controls, and automation systems.
Ensure all installations comply with relevant regulations and perform at the highest standards.
Define and perform end-of-line tests for electrical installations, such as voltage checks, insulation resistance tests, load testing, and functional tests.
Support the commissioning engineers during system commissioning and assist in trials, system tuning, and final handovers to operators.
Job Requirements:
Education:
Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronics Engineering or proven relevant experience
Required Experience:
Significant experience in electrical engineering, installation, and testing
Preferred Experience:
Project management skills, with experience using project management software
Excellent problem-solving abilities and a creative approach to engineering challenges
Familiarity with classification standards
Key Skills Required:
Full understanding of the Standard Operating Procedures for the role
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet tight deadlines
Compliance with Health and Safety policies within the workplace
Exercise absolute integrity in respect of confidential matters
