Rivan Industries (rivan.com) is a synthetic fuel company designed to decarbonise heavy industry. We aim to make synthetic fuel cheaper than fossil fuels and sustain life on earth by keeping CO2 locked underground.
We design, manufacture and deploy modular synthetic fuel plants consisting of a DAC system, an Alkaline Electrolyser, and a Sabatier Reactor, vertically integrating with off-grid DC solar and the European gas-grid. We’re looking for a Founder’s Associate to work directly with our 2x exited Founder and CEO - Harvey Hodd - and Operations Lead to drive business and engineering velocity.
We have one single goal - reduce the levelised cost of methane to the point drilling stops and companies mine the sky for carbon. If you want to work intensely to make a difference in the real-world, Rivan is for you.
The role:
Day 1 Ownership and Executionof key operational tasks across:
* Automation - Architect and build scalable processes that accelerate engineering velocity.
* Finance - Help us control burn and raise our Series A when the time comes.
* General Operations - Build factories today and scale them to giga-factories in the future.
* Recruitment - Find world-leading engineers and operators and convince them to join us.
The things that are important to us:
* Execution history. What have you built or designed before where you had the responsibility? Side projects are great.
* Reasoning by first principles. Can you deconvolute complex scenarios into their foundational truths or parts?
* Urgency. We don’t have time to wait, are you comfortable with a high-degree of risk and pressure to move fast.

* £40-60K Salary depending on experience.
* Significant share options as part of the early team.
* In-person work at our HQ in Bermondsey, South-East London.
