Estimator Position Overview
* Analyse architectural drawings, specifications, and project requirements to prepare accurate cost estimates for glazing projects.
* Assess material, labour, and equipment costs, ensuring competitive and profitable bids.
* Collaborate with architects, project managers, and suppliers to gather necessary information.
* Prepare and submit detailed and competitive bid proposals.
* Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards, materials, and pricing.
* Attend pre-bid meetings and site visits to gather and verify project information.
* Provide technical support and clarifications during the project bidding process.?
Estimator Position Requirements
* Minimum of 3 years' experience in construction estimating, specifically in aluminium and glazing.
* Strong understanding of faade systems and materials.
* Proficiency in estimating software and tools, such as Logikal.
* Excellent analytical, mathematical, and problem-solving skills.
* Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
* Effective communication and negotiation skills.
* Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
* Willingness to travel to various project sites across the UK as required.
