Responsibilities
* Washing and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to uphold hygiene standards.
* Assisting with basic food preparation tasks as directed by chefs or kitchen supervisors.
* Maintaining cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas within the kitchen.
* Ensuring all waste is disposed of correctly and recycling procedures are followed.
* Supporting the rest of the kitchen team during busy service periods to ensure efficient workflow.
* Restocking supplies and ingredients as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
* Adhering to health and safety regulations at all times, including proper handling of cleaning chemicals.
Requirements
* Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided.
* Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards is desirable.
* Ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.
* Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
* Willingness to undertake physical tasks such as lifting and standing for extended periods.
