Job Description
* Preparation and analysis of monthly management accounts.
* Assisting with the production of annual budgets and periodic forecasts.
* Implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures.
* Liaising with operational management and other colleagues on a regular basis.
* Analysing financial performance and contributing to medium and long-term business planning and forecasts.
* Conducting reviews and evaluations for cost-reduction opportunities.
* Managing and controlling the capital expenditure of the company.
* Providing financial advice and guidance to the company's managers and executives.
The Successful Applicant
A successful Management Accountant should have:
* A degree in Accounting & Finance or a relevant field.
* Professional accounting qualification (CIMA, ACCA, ACA).
* Proven experience in a similar role within the energy and natural resources industry.
* Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and other accounting software.
* High attention to detail and an aim for accuracy.
* Good time management skills, with the ability to prioritise.
