Manage the planning function to achieve strategic outcomes and KPIs, shaping long‑term direction across hubs and sectors. Manages senior teams to drive excellence and continuous improvement. Ensure all projects and tenders within the portfolio are robustly planned, scheduled and monitored to support successful delivery.
You’ll be responsible for:
1. Managing exceptional safety, quality, programme and compliance performance, promoting wellbeing and inclusive delivery.
2. Driving strategic planning leadership, ensuring effective scheduling and long‑term performance across key portfolios.
3. Overseeing ethical, compliant and financially sound operations, shaping future business strategy.
4. Mentoring teams, share best practice, and develop talent to support high‑performing, capable project delivery.
5. Managing strategic business planning and long‑term planning performance across hubs and major sectors.
6. Providing expert planning leadership, overseeing complex projects and guiding senior stakeholders with clear analysis and solutions.
7. Building strong internal and external networks, championing best practice and representing the business across the industry.
8. Developing high‑performing teams, driving continuous improvement, talent growth and alignment to organisational strategy and net‑zero goals.
You’ll need to have:
9. Extensive utility‑sector planning experience with strong commercial and financial acumen.
10. Deep infrastructure or property project management expertise with senior stakeholder engagement.
11. Proven leadership of large, diverse teams and commitment to sustainability.
12. Membership of APM, RICS, CIOB, ICE, AACE, IRM, IEMA or equivalent demonstrable professional or personal development.
