As a Mergers & Acquisition Analyst, you’ll join our Emerging Businesses team, focusing on strategic partnerships and inorganic growth to facilitate significant organizational expansion. The team manages corporate venture capital, M&A strategy, and the in-house incubator, Simplyhealth Foundry.
The Mergers & Acquisition Analyst will manage competitor intelligence, analyze potential markets, and monitor market movements to identify risks and opportunities.

Key Responsibilities
This role supports the Emerging Businesses team with:
1. Target Market Intelligence: Sizing healthcare and adjacent market segments to identify opportunities for investment, acquisition, or partnership using data-driven approaches.
2. Target Company Intelligence: Segmenting attractive markets to find suitable target companies for investment, acquisition, or partnership.
3. Market Analysis: Conducting research to understand the performance of competitors and target markets.
4. Data Analysis Support: Assisting in analyzing internal and external data to inform market insights.
5. Pricing and Strategy Analysis: Reviewing pricing strategies, market positioning, and competition.
6. Market Monitoring: Keeping up-to-date with changes in target or competitor businesses.
7. Reporting: Producing monthly market reports for management.
8. Transaction Support: Managing data rooms, communication, due diligence, and developing investment cases.
9. Post-Transaction Support: Assisting with integration planning.
About You
To be considered, you must have:
* Deep understanding of financial statements and experience interpreting financial data.
* Knowledge of operating models and go-to-market strategies.
* Ability to build and develop networks internally and externally.
* Project management skills to coordinate multiple projects.
* Effective communication skills across diverse backgrounds.
* Curiosity and analytical mindset to ask “why?”.
* Self-starter attitude and ability to challenge processes and drive change.
Preferred qualifications include experience in UK healthcare or financial services, corporate finance, and data analysis roles.
