The Role – Health & Safety Officer As a Health & Safety Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring all site activities are delivered in full compliance with Health, Safety and Environmental regulations. Working closely with the EHS Manager and site teams, you will drive best practice across projects, ensuring a proactive safety culture is embedded from the outset. You will have a direct impact on project performance by maintaining high safety standards, supporting site teams, and ensuring compliance across all stages of construction and engineering delivery. Key Responsibilities Promote and enforce all Health, Safety and Environmental policies on site Prepare and review Method Statements and Risk Assessments with site teams Conduct regular site inspections, audits, and safety reviews Lead accident and incident investigations, implementing corrective actions Deliver Toolbox Talks and safety training to site personnel Support project teams with site-specific safety planning and compliance Monitor and report on EHS performance metrics and KPIs Liaise with clients, subcontractors, and internal stakeholders on all safety matters Ensure compliance with ISO standards and integrated management systems About You Degree qualified in Health & Safety or a related discipline Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Health & Safety Officer role within construction or engineering Strong knowledge of Irish HSE legislation and compliance standards Experience working in high-compliance environments such as pharma or industrial projects is beneficial Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and engage teams Proactive, organised, and solutions-focused approach to safety management Strong IT skills including MS Word and Excel Ability to work both independently and as part of a wider project team What’s on Offer Salary: €50,000 – €65,000 (DOE) Benefits: Company vehicle or travel allowance Pension contribution Bonus structure Ongoing CPD and training support Career progression within a growing engineering contractor Why Apply?
