Inspiring, supportive, and committed - just a few of the words we’d use to describe our volunteers.
At Rethink Mental Illness, volunteers are at the heart of what we do. They play a vital role in supporting our services and making a real difference in people’s lives. If you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can have a positive impact while developing your own skills and experience, we’d love you to join us.
About the role
Do you have an eye for detail, enjoy working with digital tools, and want to help make community resources more accessible? We’re looking for volunteers to support our Community Mapping Project, which ensures information about local services, groups, and community resources is accurate, up to date, and easy to find.
As a Digital Mapping Volunteer, you’ll:
1. Liaise with staff, Group Development Workers, and local organisations to gather mapping information
2. Input and update community data on our online map system
3. Network with local services to keep information current and relevant
4. Contribute ideas to workshops and discussions on improving the mapping project
5. Explore opportunities for collaborations and digital projects to expand the resource
Full training and regular supervision will be provided, so you’ll feel confident and supported in your role.
About the service
