We are looking for a part-time Treasury Assistant to complement the existing finance team in central Guildford. In this role, you will play a key part in ensuring our finance function delivers a high-quality service to the wider business. You will be primarily responsible for day-to-day treasury functions including cashing up and bank reconciliations, whilst also providing support across the broader departmental duties.
The position is for 20-25 hours per week, and we are happy to discuss working patterns that work for you – whether that is working full days, or shorter shifts across the 5-day working week.
Our finance team are office-based at our store in central Guildford, therefore applicants must be within a commutable distance of Guildford in order to be considered.
Key Tasks
* Primary responsibilities
o Treasury tasks:
+ Cash up and re-float all store tills
+ Bank reconciliations and Cash Book Ledger Postings
+ Credit Card & Paypal reconciliations
+ Consumer Credit payment posting and allocations
+ Petty Cash Reconciliations and re-float
+ Bank Transaction Analysis for cash flow forecasting
o Sales Ledger:
+ Sales invoice distribution to account customers
+ Sales ledger cash allocation
+ Customer query investigation and resolution
* Departmental support:
o Assisting with Credit Control tasks
o General administration duties
Key Skills
* Office experience preferably in treasury/accounts or data administrative role
* Computer literate with experience of Microsoft Excel
* Some experience of using standard computerised accounts packages
* Outstanding attention to detail and numeric aptitude
* Dependable, flexible and able to work to tight deadlines
* Good Communication Skills
* High level of organisation and resilience
* Experience in a retail business or similar high volume business
