The role:
* Providing support in the delivery of concept studies/strategies with hands-on design, leading to planning applications, technical approval submissions, and construction drawing issuance.
* Contributing to various development projects across sectors and clients.
* Managing multiple projects and client accounts simultaneously.
* Supporting and guiding a team of technical staff of various grades.
* Engaging in client relations, stakeholder management, and liaising with design teams and professionals.
* Ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and meet technical standards and legal requirements.
What you need to succeed:
* A Civil Engineering degree or equivalent experience.
* Experience in highway/roads design, drainage, flood risk assessment, utility planning, and knowledge of the UK development industry.
* Understanding of hydraulics, hydrology, geotechnics, and construction design stages.
* Ability to produce masterplans, site appraisals, reports, calculations, and drawings.
* Knowledge of relevant design codes and standards.
* Strong communication skills and awareness of sustainability and climate change guidance.
* Proficiency with relevant software such as InfoDrainage, Civils 3D, or PDS.
* Experience liaising with clients, authorities, and professionals to obtain approvals and agreements.
* Knowledge of legal processes, planning, design, and contractual procedures related to infrastructure projects.
