Role Description
We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Chartered Building Surveyor to join our Technical Due Diligence & Building Surveying team. The role involves transactional instructions across the UK, with opportunities to assist on pan-European projects. The workload includes technical advisory, professional, and heritage project work, with flexibility to match your skills and aspirations.
The ideal candidate will be technically excellent, with broad experience in commercial surveying, including Technical Due Diligence (TDD) and Condition Surveys. Ability to manage multiple instructions and work effectively as part of a team is essential. The role emphasizes service delivery, client interaction, and effective time management to meet deadlines and ensure profitability.
Role Accountabilities
* Conduct TDD advice and reporting, identifying risks, their severity, and mitigation recommendations, primarily for commercial and heritage buildings.
* Manage professional technical consultancy projects, including TDD, condition surveys, dilapidations, and other projects.
* Communicate effectively to ensure project success.
* Liaise with project managers and team leaders for financial control and reporting.
* Support mentoring and supervising junior surveyors.
Qualifications & Experience
* Degree in Building Surveying and MRICS qualification.
* Strong technical ability and multi-discipline experience.
* Ability to manage project risk and meet tight deadlines.
* High-quality standards and commercial awareness.
* Excellent interpersonal skills for client relationships.
