About the position
We are looking for a Chief Operating Officer, COO, who can ensure operational excellence across our global organisation by increasing productivity, efficiency, and profitability. The goal is to contribute to continuous growth by adopting best practices, seeking improvement opportunities, and further developing our way of managing operations and supporting our customers. Additionally, the COO position will be part of the business' management team and will be part of forming the future of Dellner Glass Solutions Group.
As the Chief Operating Officer at DELLNER GLASS Solutions, you will lead and coach the operations teams, ensuring that all activities adhere to plans, policies, quality standards, and financial targets, with a focus on customer interests. You are responsible for building a global supply chain and manufacturing footprint, considering risk management and sustainability implications. As Dellner is an entrepreneurial company, you will work both operationally and strategically within your field of responsibility.
Key part of the role is to implement quality processes within the DELLNER GLASS Solutions group, effectively streamline production processes and identify risks and address areas of development and opportunities for the company. To succeed in your role, you will need to establish a robust internal network within the organization and facilitate strong collaboration between local and global entities.
In the role, you can develop, implement, and review operational policies and procedures to ensure that all legal and regulatory documents are filed, and monitor compliance with laws and regulations.
It’s essential to collaborate with the Managing Director and the management team, to drive our values and mission, setting both short and long-term goals. The role includes also activities around budgeting, reporting, planning, and auditing functions.
Location for this position will be dependent on you as a candidate, but preferably close to one of our sites in Europe. Travelling will be required.
Key skills and required qualifications
To excel in this role, you should have extensive experience in the manufacturing industry and previous involvement in global operations within management or leadership positions. You must be result-oriented with a proven ability to motivate teams and achieve objectives. Proficiency in lean production methodologies is essential. As a leader, you are expected to be responsive, communicative, and proficient in driving, developing, and implementing effective working methods to meet established business goals. A strong understanding of financial management is also required.
You have a relevant academic background (or equivalent) and have held similar or other senior positions in global companies, focusing on operations management, business development, or related fields. Experience in leading organizational change and demonstration of successful business turnarounds and growth is crucial. You also have a solid background in international and diverse intercultural work environments. Excellent communication skills and proficiency in English are necessary for this role.
