The salary for this role is £12.40 per hour. As a Christmas Customer Assistant, you'll be at the heart of the action, greeting customers with a smile, offering product and gift advice, and creating a memorable experience that leads to a happily ever after and keeps them coming back all year round.

About the role
You will work in a Boots store and report to the Assistant or Store Manager. Your responsibilities will include:
* Customer Interaction: You\'ll offer thoughtful advice, recommend products and highlight our amazing offers to ensure everyone has an enjoyable shopping experience and no one leaves empty-handed.
* Till Operation: Whether you\'re wrapping up purchases at the counter or supporting our self-checkout systems, you\'ll bring energy and efficiency to every transaction.
* Stock Management: You\'ll take pride in keeping shelves full so our customers can always find exactly what they need during the busiest shopping season of the year.
* Store Presentation: You will ensure every area always looks its best.
* Online order support: While this is a customer-facing role, you may assist with deliveries, picking, and packing for online orders as needed.
What you\'ll need to have
Full training is provided for this role, but these are the essential skills or experience needed to succeed:
* Available to work Bank Holidays including Black Friday week and weekend, Cyber Monday, Christmas Eve, Boxing Day, New Year\'s Day.
* Customer Service Skills: We\'re looking for people who are comfortable approaching customers, providing a personalised experience that leaves a lasting impression.
* Operations Ready: You\’ll need to balance customer care with daily shopfloor and operational tasks.
* Tech-Savvy: You can learn about and use new technology, including operating handheld mobile devices, tills and self-checkouts.
* Team Player: A collaborative, one-team mindset is necessary for helping each other meet store goals and have fun along the way.
* Physical Stamina: You\'ll be on your feet, standing, walking and lifting.
* Brand Ambassador: You should love our ethos, products and services and be eager to share them with customers.
It would be great if you also have
* Experience in a retail or customer-facing environment

Need To Know
We are now recruiting Christmas Customer Advisors for our Lancaster, St Nicholas Arcades store, starting from September onwards. We have a variety of shifts available, working between the hours of 13:30 and 20:30 which may include weekends. The exact shift patterns will be discussed at interview. Available shift patterns: Sunday 10:30-16:30; Tuesday 16:30-20:30 or 13:30-17:30. Please note, due to the anticipated volume of applications, we will close the advert when we have met our requirements.
