Robertson recruitment are seeking a skilled Press Brake Operator to join a sheet metal fabrication company. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience operating a press brake machine to bend, shape, and form metal components according to precise specifications. Working hours: Rotational shifts. 6am - 2pm / 2pm - 10pm OR Afternoon shifts. 2pm - 10pm Responsibilities: Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal sheets and components based on blueprints and technical drawings Set up and adjust machine controls for speed, material thickness, bend angle, and tooling Read and interpret engineering drawings, work orders, and production schedules Inspect parts for accuracy using measuring tools such as calipers, protractors, and gauges Perform routine maintenance and cleaning of the press brake and tooling Monitor equipment to ensure safe and efficient operation, reporting any issues or malfunctions promptly Collaborate with team members and supervisors to optimize workflow and meet production deadlines Follow company safety procedures and wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) Maintain a clean and organized work area Skills required: Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints Strong understanding of metal types, thicknesses, and forming characteristics Familiarity with Amada, Cincinnati, Trumpf, or similar press brake brands is a plus Proficient in using measurement tools to ensure precision Basic math and mechanical skills Benefits: Permanent contract Shift allowance Free parking Good location - transport links If you are interested in this role please contact Dan on 07464 733898 ADZN1_UKTJ
