Damp & Mould Surveyor Temporary | Full Time £400 per day (Umbrella) We are currently supporting a public sector organisation in recruiting two experienced Damp & Mould Surveyors on an initial 6‑month temporary assignment within their Property, Asset Management & Development team. This role requires site‑based work and travel across the local housing stock for a minimum of three days per week. Role Purpose To provide a proactive and responsive damp and mould investigation service across residential housing, ensuring homes are safe, healthy, and compliant with statutory requirements. You will deliver expert diagnosis, technical advice, and detailed works specifications to ensure damp and mould cases are resolved effectively, with a clear focus on resident wellbeing and compliance with the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS), the Social Housing (Regulation) Act, Decent Homes, and Awaab's Law. Key Responsibilities Inspections & Diagnostic Assessments Carry out timely surveys of homes reporting damp, mould, leaks, or condensation. Diagnose root causes including structural defects, water ingress, ventilation issues, insulation failures, or lifestyle‑related factors.
