Payroll & Benefits Advisor - Fixed Term Contract (3-6 months) As a family business, Frank Roberts and Sons have been at the heart of our community since 1887. Through nurturing and togetherness and a sprinkle of courage we continue to build on our heritage by producing quality delicious bread and baked goods.​ The Opportunity We have a vacancy for a Payroll & Benefits Advisor, for a 3 - 6 months fixed term contract. What you will contribute * Payroll administration for the weekly and monthly payroll * Associated processing of third party payments * Giving guidance to employees changing pension contribution * Assisting employees using benefits and preparing reconciliations for those benefits. * Preparing the monthly pension contribution file for Scottish Widows * Preparation of the monthly HMRC payment and other ad hoc BACS payments * Preparing P11ds and assisting with year end procedures * Continuous review of procedures to improve efficiency. What you will bring * A minimum of 3 years' experience in administering managed payroll services and payroll compliance. * Working towards CIPP or qualified by experience. * Knowledge of payroll processes required to administer employee benefits (salary sacrifice etc.) and pension legislation * Good GCSE/O level grades in maths and English. * Good verbal and written communication skills. * Ability to build good relationships and partnerships across the organisation * Ability to interrogate systems (payroll, T&A and other) to improve efficiency Key Competences and levels of capability * Excellent numeracy and literacy skills * Business Partnering * Excellent Verbal and written communication skills * Proactive self starter, able to work using own initiative to achieve results. * Flexible and adaptable to change * Sound knowledge of Microsoft Office Key interfaces *(internally and externally)* : Internally: Employees, managers, finance and HR. Externally: Payroll and T&A system providers, HMRC, councils, credit union, charities, unions. Reports to *(Role)* : Payroll and benefits manager.
