About the Role
We’re looking for a qualified social worker to join our Kinship Care Team, part of our expanding Family Placement Service. This part-time role (22 hours per week) offers the flexibility to balance your professional impact with your personal life.
You’ll be part of a passionate team focused on:
* Supporting kinship carers through supervision, training, and guidance
* Assessing kinship foster carers seeking Special Guardianship Orders (SGOs)
* Helping children remain within their family networks, promoting stability, identity, and long-term wellbeing.
This is a unique opportunity to work in a service that values relational practice, permanence and creative thinking - with a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children and young people.
What We’re Looking For
* A qualified social worker registered with Social Work England
* ASYE completed (we offer a separate programme for newly qualified social workers)
* Experience in fostering, looked after children, or kinship care
* Ability to quickly develop and maintain relationships with children and carers
* Strong assessment, report writing, and organisational skills
* Ability to meet tight timescales and work collaboratively
