Interim Director of Retail
📍 Birmingham (2 days per week) | Part-time / Fractional or Full-time | Start ASAP
I'm supporting a fast-growing beauty and wellness brand that's looking for an experienced Director of Retail to take ownership of their retail strategy and drive commercial success. Already stocked in a major UK retailer, the business is focused on strengthening this partnership and delivering a series of exciting new product launches.
The Role
* Lead and manage retail partnerships, ensuring strong commercial performance and sustainable growth.
* Drive success of new product launches across in-store and online channels.
* Own the retail strategy, trade terms, and promotional planning to maximise brand visibility and performance.
* Build and maintain senior-level relationships within key retail partners.
* Work closely with internal teams across marketing, operations and NPD to align brand and retail objectives.
Ideal Profile
* Proven experience as a Sales Director / Director of Retail / Senior National Account Manager within beauty, wellness, supplements, or skincare.
* Essential: previous experience working directly with Boots and a strong understanding of their commercial processes and ways of working.
* Strong track record of managing major UK retail accounts and delivering growth through collaborative partnerships.
* Commercially astute with excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills.
* Available to start quickly and open to flexible arrangements - full-time, part-time, or fractional.
