Overview
Are you someone interested in working in a Children and Young Peoples Mental Health Service? This is an exciting opportunity for you to enter into a rewarding role in a transforming service. We are looking for a Registered Nurse, Social Worker or Occupational Therapist, ideally with some recent experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties or experience in working within Mental Health (please refer to person specification for more information). The successful candidate will be enthusiastic, self-motivating, have the ability to case manage and will display excellent interpersonal and communication skills in order to establish good working relationships essential to the success of the service.
Responsibilities
This is an exciting opportunity to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team within Child and Young Peoples Mental Health Service (CYPMH). As part of the team you will take a role in delivering high quality service provision that promotes and improves the mental health and well‑being of children and young people, their families and carers. Working within a systemic and holistic framework you will undertake needs‑led, evidence‑based, assessments and therapeutic interventions for children and young people, their families and carers, who present to the service. These assessments will also include young people needing support due to deliberate self‑harm. You will be supported by senior members of the team within this role.
Qualifications and Experience
The CYPMH services within LCFT are undergoing a transformation programme to implement the THRIVE model as a response to the Five Year Forward View. To meet this forward‑thinking view we are specifically looking for practitioners with a modern mind‑set and an enthusiasm for the new model. A means of transport is essential and applicants must be willing to undergo an enhanced DBS check.
