Description Job ID: 21172 Position - Mechanical Supervisor Location - Wilton, Redcar Project -Shutdown Duration - 4 Weeks Start - 15th September 2025 Responsibilities Responsibilities for Internal Candidates Oversee and coordinate mechanical maintenance activities during the shutdown Develop and implement detailed work plans and schedules for mechanical teams Ensure strict adherence to safety protocols and industry regulations Conduct daily safety briefings and site inspections Manage and direct a team of mechanical technicians and craftspeople Perform quality control checks and documentation Troubleshoot complex mechanical issues and provide technical solutions Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment status Coordinate with other discipline supervisors to ensure smooth project execution Qualifications Qualifications for Internal Candidates Experience Proven experience in shutdown management and team leadership Advanced knowledge of mechanical systems, equipment, and maintenance techniques Comprehensive understanding of HSE (Health, Safety, and Environment) regulations Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities Ability to work flexible shifts and in a high-pressure environment Preferred Qualifications: NVQ level 3 in Mechanical Fitting Previous experience in Teesside industrial sites Certifications in advanced mechanical maintenance or shutdown management Familiarity with advanced diagnostic and predictive maintenance technologies Technical Skills: Proficient in mechanical system diagnostics Understanding of predictive and preventative maintenance strategies Experience with complex industrial equipment maintenance Competent in using maintenance management software and documentation systems Personal Attributes: Proactive and detail-oriented approach Strong leadership and team management capabilities Calm under pressure Ability to make critical decisions quickly Commitment to safety and operational excellence
