Connect Appointments are seeking a number of individuals to become Logistics Operatives with our Bathgate based logistics client.
What's on offer? Full-time or part-time ongoing temporary opportunity, leading to permanent employment for the right candidates.
* Full- Time: Working 5 days over 7, from 4pm to job in finish
* Part-time: Working between Wednesday and Sunday, from 4pm to job in finish
* Paid weekly at £14.68 to £18.35 per hour
o £14.68 between the hours of 4am and 10pm
o £18.35 between the hours of 10pm and 4am
As a Logistics Operative, your duties will include: Using headsets, barcodes and serial numbers to locate the correct items for shipment, ensuring inventory is managed accurately. Combined with:
* Safely picking items from shelves
* Packaging completed orders
* Completing necessary invoicing or paperwork
* Unloading deliveries from delivery lorries
* Assisting with the distribution of goods throughout the warehouse
* Performing warehouse cleaning duties if necessary
To be successful in this logistics position, you will ideally have: Previous experience in a warehouse or similar environment; The ability to follow both written and verbal instructions; The ability to using picking machines in warehouses and manually pick items; The ability to work on your own and as part of a team.
