About Haven:
Join Haven, one of the UK's leading providers of holiday experiences, as our Infrastructure Manager. In this pivotal role, you will own, operate and manage all aspects of park, data centre and associated compute and storage platforms (Including hardware, EUC, databases, and software platforms), ensuring the smooth operation and transformative growth of our infrastructure capabilities. Based in Hemel Hempstead with hybrid working arrangements, this role offers the perfect blend of operational management and strategic innovation.
Your Opportunity:
As the Infrastructure Manager, you will:
- Lead the operation and strategic scaling of our compute and storage platforms.
- Manage both internal and external resources to drive service stability and transformation activities.
- Collaborate with Group IT and Digital Security to align technology strategies and improve system - performance.
- Play a critical role in Infrastructure lifecycle management, focusing on cost-efficiency and optimal resource allocation.
- Ensure robust disaster recovery and data security practices are in place to safeguard our operations.
- Liaise with stakeholders across all brands to ensure consistent performance and meet KPIs.
- Govern third-party service delivery, ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives across technology platforms, enhancing system reliability and user satisfaction.
- Handle budget management responsibilities, focusing on cost-saving measures and financial forecasting.
- Provide leadership and direction to the Infrastructure DBA and EUC teams, fostering a culture of innovation and accountability.
What We'd Like You to Bring:
- Proven leadership experience with a strong focus on team management and strategic oversight.
- Demonstrable expertise in managing IT infrastructure for large-scale operations.
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and capacity to work under pressure.
- Solid understanding of ITSM frameworks and experience in managing service delivery platforms.
- Extensive knowledge of modern cloud technologies (Azure/AWS) and enterprise hardware solutions.
- Strong financial acumen, capable of managing budgets and achieving savings.
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft, AWS, VMware, Cisco) are highly desirable.
- Effective communication skills, capable of engaging with technical teams and senior stakeholders.
Ability to drive projects to completion and meet key performance indicators.
